If You Smell Like Butt, You Get the Cut

Sling it!

For a lot of people going to the gym is a time for solitude, camaraderie, or a combination of them both. All resulting in getting your bodily particles bigger, faster, or more defined. Hell, it might just mean showing up for some of you so your wife will get of your back about all the good food you’ve been eating that’s really bad for you. By the way, she loves you guy. Going to the gym can be an escape, an escape from all the things in your personal world that have been weighing on you. It’s not always an escape from your sense of smell. There’s always that one stinky gym guy. That one stinky gym guy who always shows up and reeks like a strong pungent smell of B.O., piss, or sweaty gym clothes that hasn’t been washed since Arnold Schwarzenegger was Mr. Universe. And this seems to be a growing trend.

Everyone knows this guy. It’s the same guy that walks around the entire gym for no real purpose and somehow finds a way to pass through the most crowded of all places. It’s the same guy you want to hand a bar of soap to while yelling at them over the intercom to take a damn shower and burn those horrific smelling clothes. For me, it’s the guy I really want to punch in the face and ban him from the gym. For life! Why is this trend growing? Is there a new health benefit to working out smelly while everyone else is struggling not to pass out around you? Or is this a tactic used so you can use any machine you need to during the course of your exercise routine?

There are so many rules at the gym these days. They tell you what you can’t wear, that you need to clean up your area, to put away all the stuff you used from where you got it at, and other common rules that are pretty universal across workout centers. Gyms need to add another common universal rule.

If you smell like butt, you get the cut.

Fake News Politics: Fed Up

Sling It!

We’ve all been there. Sitting in front of a TV, watching a preferred news channel, trying to get the most up-to-date and accurate information we can about a select topic. That used to be the standard in news reporting. That was because the American people used to hold those news companies to those standards. You really have to give it up to the Baby Boomers and Gen X individuals.

Iron will integrity standards across the white & blue-collar workforce.

We still watch the news with the intent on knowing. Confirming the truth. And believing. This ideology still rings true for a solid portion of the nation’s population. For a growing percentage of the population, it’s about finding news to support a belief and using news to assimilate others towards that belief. You can’t even have an honest debate among peers anymore. This leaves us with questions on what to watch and who to watch it from with so many news outlets providing questionable politically tied agendas.

I don’t care what your political preference is. Unless it’s so one-dimensional that you put down everyone else who doesn’t share your same belief. Then, I really don’t care. What I care about is getting news with reported facts. Not an interpretation of the facts. I always held CNN as the bar for every other news outlet growing up. Now I don’t even watch them. It has nothing to do with our current President blasting them publically. Again, I don’t care what your political preference is. I want a news channel that I believe can still report the facts.

So we are left with the question, how do we find that? I used to watch so many different news outlets trying to sift for the truth; CNN, MSNBC, FOX, & HLN. And I have my favorite news personalities from each of these networks, minus CNN. I’m sure many individuals go through this similar hassle today. I am not referring to your Facebook friends you silently unfollowed because they couldn’t stop posting a ka-billion similar posts trashing the other political side. And I’m not referring to any of your family members who put down anyone that has a different viewpoint than they do.

I’m referring to the American people who still search out for the truth. Over the years, I learned Time Warner owns CNN & HLN. I also learned that Comcast owns NBC who is the parent company to MSNBC. And for years Comcast has been trying to acquire Time Warner. Then I read reports how both corporations have been donating to the same political party over the years. Now I know why the news reported from these different organizations were always so similar.

In spite of that, I still watch some MSNBC and HLN. I do have some news personalities I enjoy. When I want to get my news though, I turn to the news channel underdog who is constantly criticized and blasted. I turn to Fox. I always loved how they tried to provide both political views by airing a segment that had mainly republican personalities and that one single democrat on-air guy. I thought he was great. He was always trailblazing that fight alone. I would have liked for Fox to make it more of a balanced segment and I didn’t always feel like the lone ranging democrat believed everything he was saying. I understand why they never did. When our news channel world has been filled with a lopsided microphone, sometimes you have to do just enough to show you are fair to keep your news station integrity and report more of the unpopular stuff because no other news channel is doing that anymore.
